My Homemade Starch

 Do you guys know what starch is? I do, it is a powder that you can sometimes use for cooking. In this picture below I have made some homemade starch I am going to tell you how to make this homemade starch step by step. Here are the instructions down below.

 You will need a bandanna, 3 large potatoes, vegetable peeler, chopping board, grater, water and a small mixing bowl. Here are the instructions.

1. Ask an adult to help you peel and grate 3 large potatoes over a chopping board.

2. Half fill the bowl with water.

3. Put the grated potato into the bandanna. Tie up the bandanna.

4. Dip the bandanna into the water. Squeeze it very hard into the bowl.

5. Keep dipping the bandanna into the water.

6. When the water looks cloudy leave the water to set somewhere warm for 1 hour

7. Do you see that white substance in the bowl that is starch.

8. Pour out as much water as you can and try to leave as much starch as you can in the bowl.

9. Leave the starch to dry for about 1 hour. When you come back it should be ready.

The Journey

 Today I had to remake a story called a Summery Saturday Morning on minecraft. It was really fun and the most challenging part about it was the building. It was a big success and I hope I can do more of these minecraft tasks in the future.

 Today I did a challenge on minecraft. The challenge was to make a pollinating garden for the bees.

I really enjoyed creating the pollinating garden for the bees. The most challenging part about it was that the hoed grass kept growing back. Have you ever done a challenge in minecraft education before.

My Second Minecraft Achievement

 Yay I just got my second reward! I got another certificate. I got this certificate for doing coding again. It was fun doing the coding task. This is my second certificate for coding.

My Minecraft Achievement

 Today I achieved a reward on Minecraft Education Edition for the first time. I got a certificate.

The certificate was a reward for completing a coding activity. I enjoyed this coding activity and hope I can

do more of them in the future.

What I Have Been Doing

 As you know school has ended for the year and I have been doing some activities since school ended.

I wanted to tell you what I have been doing. The first thing I did when school ended was spend time with my family and go for a drive on the beach with my dad's Rav - 4. We went for a swim when suddenly a massive wave came crashing towards us and it threw us onto the shore. we tumbled over the rock pool and on to the beach. That's when we decided to leave. I had a long scratch on my back and the left side of my right leg. To cut this long story short we went to Auckland and went to see my nanna and my uncles, my aunties and cousins. We spent two nights in Auckland before we came back home to Kaitaia.  That's some activities that I've been doing. I loved telling you about them. Thank you for listening.
