Matariki Star Artwork

W.A.L.T upload our art task and write about it.

Last week we did some artwork that represented Matariki witch is the Maori new year. This is how we did it.

1. Trace two large stars and two small stars onto A3 Paper.

2. Fill our Matariki stars with patterns that we did with pencil.

3. colour the stars with any colour you want I went with purple, dark blue and light blue.

4. glue the stars together on top of each other.

5. Next glue your star to a peace of black A3 paper.

6. out line the patterns with black felts.

7. Now cut the out line of your star now your star is ready to be shown to your family and friends.

  1. Kia ora. I am Sarah from St Mary’s School.
I really liked how you put the instructions to make the star.
Next time you could put some labels so we know what subject it was or when you did it.
